Steve Brodie

Steve was CEO, Owner, and Founder of Purolite Corporation from 1981 to 2021. He founded Purolite in 1981 with his brother, Don Brodie, from the basement of Don’s home. Together, they systematically built Purolite with innovation and foresight to become a leading manufacturer of life science products, ion exchange, catalyst, adsorbent and specialty resins for water and non-water applications.
Headquartered in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, Purolite has manufacturing facilities in the USA, United Kingdom, China and Romania and sales offices in 27 countries. It also operates dedicated R&D centers in the USA, China, Romania, Russia and the UK.
As President and CEO of Purolite, Steve focused on global company operations and was the driving force for financing all aspects of the Purolite business. He managed and provided guidance on all corporate financial issues. In addition, Steve oversaw the sales in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
In December 2021, Steve sold Purolite to Ecolab in a transaction valued at $3.7B.
Mr. Brodie works with his two sons in their new family office, Brodie Generational Capital Partners. Mr. Brodie is married to Elizabeth Brodie and has two sons and five grandchildren.
